What is Learning to Live?

Learning to Live is a series of Bible studies written by Dr Paul B Coulter (www.paulcoulter.net).  They are designed to cover the most essential topics of Christian living, and are best used in a small discussion group setting.  They are particularly written with new Christians or those who want to revisit the essentials of the faith in mind.  There are 15 studies in total, covering the following topics:

1. What is a Christian? - a refresher on the gospel and what it means to be a Christian
2. How can  be sure? - the truth of eternal security and how to have assurance of salvation
3. The power within - the work of the Holy Spirit
4. Talking to God - what is prayer and how to have a healthy prayer life
5. The Bible, God's Word - how to read, apply and study the Bible
6. The way to fulfilment - the Beatitudes and Christ's way to real satisfaction in life
7. The Battle - the reality of spiritual warfare
8. Knowing God's Will - how to seek God's guidance in your decisions
9. Our Final Goal - the return of Christ and the our eternal destiny
10. What if ...? - dealing with doubts, temptations and sin
11. The Body of Christ - why do we need to be part of a local church?
12. A New Command - loving one another as Christ loved us
13. Signs of Remembrance - an introduction to baptism and the Lord's Supper
14. Under the Influence - authentic holy living in a hollow world
15. Be my witnesses - sharing your faith in Christ with others

Each study is a four-sided fold-over A5 booklet (i.e. two sides of an A4 page folded in two).  The first three pages contain teaching on the topic, whilst the back page contains a Bible study to help the students take their studies further.

Getting the Learning to Live studies

The full set of studies is available in electronic format (.pdf) by email.  Our intention is to make these available at the lowest possible cost to the user.  Therefore we offer three different methods of ordering the studies:

1. After a donation is received - we will email the studies to you if you make a donation of any size to Learning to Live using PayPal (secure online donation from your PayPal account or using a credit card).  A minimum donation amount of £5 is suggested, but this is a faith ministry, and any amount will be accepted.  This donation allows you to make as many copies of the studies as you want. 
2. Before a donation is made - if you are sceptical about either the quality of the studies or the we will email you the studies on request with no donation, trusting you to send the donation once you receive the studies if you are happy with them.
3. Free of charge - if you really can't afford to give anything then please email us and we will consider sending the studies to you free of charge (we cannot promise to do this, but do promise to consider your request prayerfully).  Please do not abuse this offer if you can afford to pay.
